London calling as RCVS promotes graduate development programme at upcoming conference

5 November 2021

The RCVS will be attending this month’s London Vet Show (LVS) where it will be promoting a number of its current projects and initiatives, particularly its new Veterinary Graduate Development Programme (VetGDP).

Staff from the College will be based at stand C16 at LVS which takes place at the ExCel Centre on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 November. The stand will have literature related to the 1CPD learning & development recording and planning app and the VetGDP, as well as a leaflet giving an overview of projects such as the Mind Matters Initiative, the ViVet innovation project, VN Futures and the Veterinary Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The RCVS Education Team will also be holding a series of 10-minute one-to-one guidance sessions on the VetGDP to answer any queries that graduates enrolled in the programme, their VetGDP advisers, or any other members of the practice team may have about the programme.

Topics that could be covered include the entrustable professional activities graduates are expected to meet, how to make the best use of the VetGDP e-portfolio, and how to become an RCVS-approved Graduate Development Practice. You can book a session by filling out the online form on our website

In addition to the stand, the RCVS has organised people to chair the discussions taking place at the Royal  Veterinary College's Clinical Theatre 3 on both days of the conference. The chairs will include RCVS Senior Vice-President Mandisa Greene; Matthew Rendle, Chair of the RCVS Veterinary Nurses Council; Amelia Poole, Quality Improvement Project Manager at RCVS Knowledge; Lucy Coyne, Farm Vet Champions Project Manager at RCVS Knowledge; Chair of the RCVS Knowledge Board of Trustees Amanda Boag; and RCVS Fellow Professor Sarah Wolfensohn.

The full set of exhibitors as well as the conference programme can be found on the London Vet Show website.
