Webinar to explain new Practice Standards Scheme
15 October 2014
Veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and other members of the practice team are encouraged to take part in a free webinar explaining the upcoming changes to our Practice Standards Scheme (PSS).
The PSS is a voluntary accreditation for veterinary practices which, through setting minimum standards and regular inspections, aims to promote and maintain high standards of veterinary care.
A new iteration of the PSS is due for launch in November 2015. The most significant change is that in addition to the base accreditation (Core, GP, and Veterinary Hospital) practices will be able to apply, but are not obliged, to be inspected for additional Awards in specific areas.
The new Scheme also presents additional benefits to practices, including a professionally-trained inspectorate and dedicated online IT system that will save practices time by allowing them to make applications online and to upload all the documents they require for accreditation prior to inspection.
During the webinar Jacqui Molyneux, Chair of the Practice Standards Group which coordinates the PSS, and Anthony Roberts, PSS Senior Manager, will explain how the new Scheme will allow practices to improve their services, demonstrate where they excel and better market themselves to the public.
After the presentation those attending the webinar will have the opportunity to question Jacqui and Anthony on the changes to the PSS.
The webinar, hosted by The Webinar Vet, will take place on Tuesday 28 October at 8.30pm and those who wish to take part can register here.
