Book your place at RCVS Day 2004

Members are invited to contact the College to obtain their free tickets for RCVS Day on Friday 9 July 2004, at Church House, Deans Yard, Westminster, London. The agenda is available to download below and the programme for the day will be as follows:
10.00am: Prayer of Thanksgiving/Short Address by The Reverend Tony Birbeck MBE, to be followed by a performance by Katharine Fuge, Soprano.
10.15am: AGM and Presentation of Awards, to be followed by a lecture entitled "The future of African wildlife - resource competition and diseases at the human interface", by Dr Roy Bengis, followed by a Question and Answer Session.
12.30pm: Buffet Lunch

Mr Birbeck is a member of the BVA Ethics Committee. Dr Bengis is currently the Chief State Veterinarian at Skukuza in the Kruger National Park, South Africa. He is involved in wildlife disease surveillance, monitoring and control, epidemiological research, game capture, veterinary public health aspects of wildlife utilisation and clinical work. He has recently received awards in recognition of outstanding contributions to wildlife conservation and veterinary ecology, and for outstanding service to, and advancement of, the veterinary profession in South Africa.
