Unravelling clinical governance at the VPMA/SPVS Congress

8 January 2013

Cat tangled in ball of woolClinical governance is now part of the Code of Professional Conduct for both veterinary nurses and veterinary surgeons. But does the very idea have you in a tangle?

On Friday 25 January at 1:15pm-2pm, during the joint Veterinary Practice Management Association/Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons Congress, RCVS Veterinary Investigator and former Senior Practice Standards Inspector Pam Mosedale will be unravelling what clinical governance means, and giving some practical examples of what can be done in practice to meet the RCVS requirement.

If you can’t attend the talk, then come along to the RCVS stand, number 7, to find out more.

The RCVS team will be giving out free calculators, printed with the URL of our online Professional Development Record (www.rcvs-pdr.org.uk or www.vnpdr.org.uk), which is designed to support veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses in planning and recording their continuing professional development (CPD). Visitors to the stand can also view a demo of the Professional Development Record, making it even easier to record all the CPD gained at the Congress.

The Veterinary Business and Management Congress will be held at the Heythrop Park Resort, near Oxford, from 24 to 26 January. To register for this event, please visit the Veterinary Business & Management Congress website.
