Come to RCVS Question Time in Aberdeen and Newcastle
15 April 2005
It's time for you to put your questions and have your say. Join RCVS President, John Parker and his team of Officers in Aberdeen and Newcastle on Wednesday 25 May and Thursday 26 May respectively for RCVS Question Time - your chance to debate important veterinary issues.
At the Thistle Aberdeen Hotel and the Gosforth Park Hotel in Newcastle, the evenings will begin with a buffet supper at 7.00pm where there will be a chance to chat informally with RCVS Officers, staff and local veterinary surgeons. Question Time will start at 8.00pm.
RCVS Officers and other Council Members will be part of a panel and you will be given the opportunity to ask questions on a number of topical veterinary issues, such as the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme, a new Veterinary Surgeons Act, medicines, VN training and 24-hour emergency cover.
John Parker will be playing the role of David Dimbleby and would be pleased either to receive questions in advance or from the floor on the night.
This new format was well received recently, with some 80 people attending RCVS Question Time at the recent BSAVA Congress in Birmingham.
All veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and other members of the veterinary practice team will be very welcome but it is essential to reserve a place at the meeting. Therefore, if you would like to attend, please contact Danielle van den Berg in the External Affairs Department on 020 7202 0766.
