Defra surveys on export certification and microchipping
26 February 2021
The Department for the Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) has asked for our help to promote two surveys that seek the views and experiences of veterinary surgeons on export health certification work and microchipping in dogs respectively.
Export health certification
Defra is conducting research into OV export health certification work and would like to hear views from all veterinary surgeons, whether they have experience as an Official Veterinarian (OV) or not.
The aim of the research is to gather information on the veterinary profession’s perceptions of export certification work. Defra will use the results to help inform its policy decisions and communication strategies around uptake of OV certification work.
Completion time: 5 minutes
Deadline: Tuesday, 2 March 2021
Microchipping in dogs
Defra has partnered with researchers at the University of Nottingham as part of its evaluation of its policy on the microchipping of companion animals.
The survey is looking for the views and experiences of veterinary surgeons since dog microchipping has become compulsory.
Completion time: 20 minutes
Deadline: Friday, 12 March 2021
NB Responses to both surveys will be anonymous.
