Discuss the issues affecting the profession at RCVS Question Time in Watford
25 September 2015
Vets, veterinary nurses and other members of the practice team will be able to put their questions to the RCVS at a Question Time event in November.
The Question Time takes place at the Hilton Hotel in Watford on Tuesday 24 November and those attending will have the opportunity to catch up with colleagues, discuss the issues affecting the profession and put their questions directly to members of our Operational Board.
The event will be chaired by our President Dr Bradley Viner with CEO Nick Stace, Registrar Gordon Hockey, Senior Vice-President Professor Stuart Reid and Liz Cox, Chair of VN Council, also in attendance.
The evening will begin at 6.30pm with a buffet supper, followed by an introduction from Bradley at 7.15pm.
From 7.30pm the Question Time will split into two sessions focused on issues affecting veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses respectively, although vets are welcome to attend the veterinary nursing session and vice-versa.
The two groups will then reconvene at 8.30pm to discuss issues affecting the whole team. One area for discussion will be the Vet Futures Report, which will be launched at the London Vet Show the week before. The event will finish around 10pm.
Prior to the evening, between 12 noon and 5pm, the RCVS will also be holding a series of 45-minute surgeries for those who want to find out more about the new Practice Standards Scheme (PSS), which will also have been launched at the London Vet Show.
The surgeries will be led by Pam Mosedale, PSS Veterinary Advisor and Assessor Coordinator.
If you would like to attend the Question Time please register online by Monday 16 November 2015.
To book a PSS surgery, please contact Emma Lockley, Events Officer, on [email protected] or 020 7202 0773. Places are limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
