Free PSS surgeries at the London Vet Show
13 November 2013
Veterinary practices that wish to find out more about our Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) can do so at one of our free 45-minute surgeries at the London Vet Show next week.
“I would recommend the PSS surgery to anyone considering applying for accreditation.”
Sue Brincat, Anton Vets
PSS Inspector Sue Chorlton will be on hand at the London Vet Show on the afternoon of Thursday 21 November and all day on Friday 22 November, to answer queries and provide advice and guidance about the PSS.
The private appointments are useful if you have an inspection coming up, are interested in joining the Scheme or want to ensure you are meeting the Code of Professional Conduct requirement and practising to Core Standards.
We organise these surgeries several times a year, at locations across the country, and they have proven very popular with the profession.
Sue Brincat, Practice Manager at Anton Vets in Andover, Hampshire, attended a PSS surgery at Salisbury in October where she was given advice on her application for PSS accreditation.
She said: “We came away feeling there was still a lot of work to be done, but now we are confident in knowing what it is and how we should approach it.
“I would recommend the PSS surgery to anyone considering applying for accreditation and especially for those involved in producing their portfolio of evidence.”
If you are interested in booking a slot please contact Fiona Harcourt, Communications Officer, on 020 7202 0773. Please note that although the 45-minute sessions are free you will need a valid ticket for the London Vet Show in order to take part.
If you are not attending the London Vet Show, our next surgeries will be on Thursday 23 January 2014 in York and at the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) Congress in Birmingham from Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 April 2014.
