Have your say at the RCVS Regional Meetings

12 March 2004

If you would like to have your say about current issues affecting the veterinary profession, join the RCVS Officers in Gatwick and Glasgow in April for an informal meeting.

On Tuesday 20 April 2004, RCVS President Richard Halliwell and his team of Officers and RCVS staff will be at the Copthorne Hotel London Gatwick. The next day, Wednesday 21 April, they travel to the Glynhill Hotel in Glasgow.

These Regional Meetings are held six times a year and are an excellent opportunity for local veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and practice managers to discuss a broad range of topical veterinary issues.

As per the meetings held in January in Romsey and Sheffield, the meetings in April will focus primarily on the Practice Standards Scheme, the new Veterinary Surgeons Act and the Competition Commission's recommendations.

However, Officers will be happy to discuss any other important concerns. If members feel that their query might benefit from some background research, please contact the External Affairs department (Fax 020 7202 0740).

The meeting itself starts at 8:00pm and finishes at approximately 10:00pm. A buffet supper will be served at 7:00pm. Printed invitations have been sent to all members within easy travelling distance of the venues, although all all members of the practice team are very welcome to attend.

It is important to reserve a place so if you are interested in attending the meeting please contact Danielle van den Berg (Tel 020 7202 0766).

Invitations can also be downloaded below. Once you have completed the reply slip, please post it to the address supplied on the invitation or fax it to Danielle van den Berg on 020 7202 0740.
