Key coronavirus guidance updated in light of latest restrictions
23 December 2020
Following the UK governments’ recent and sudden announcements concerning further tightening of coronavirus restrictions across the UK, we have updated some of our key guidance for veterinary professionals practising in all four nations of the UK.
In summary, all veterinary practices in the UK are able to continue to operate, albeit under different conditions based on the national and/or regional restrictions in place where they are based, including any new travel restrictions.
Please read our latest key guidance on our website, which sets out specific guidance for practices in each of the four UK nations, as follows:
Flowchart (FAQ 2)
This guidance incorporates our flowcharts for each UK nation (and tiers/levels within them) to explain the type of work that can be carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic and to support veterinary decision-making during the current circumstances.
Remote prescribing (FAQ 4)
The flowcharts should continue to be read in conjunction with the corresponding guidance around remote prescribing of prescription-only veterinary medicines (FAQ 4), which also varies depending on the level of national and regional restrictions in place.
