Lots on offer for VNs at BVNA Congress
31 August 2012
We'll have a lot on offer for veterinary nurses heading to the British Veterinary Nursing Association Congress in Telford this October (Friday, 5th to Sunday, 7th).
At our stand in the foyer area, VNs will be able to try out a demo of the new Professional Development Record (PDR).
This allows VNs to plan, record and evaluate their continuing professional development (CPD) online, and can replace the paper record card.
Free calculators to help ‘Make your CPD count’ – as they are printed with a handy reminder of the PDR web address – will also be available at the stand and, by entering our ‘record breakers’ competition, delegates could win a £50 iTunes voucher.
The following presentations will also be given by College representatives:
Friday 5 October
15.20: ‘TP or not TP? Is that the question for your practice?’, by Libby Earle, Head of Veterinary Nursing
16.15: ‘The Practice Standards Scheme’, by Peter Jinman, Practice Standards Group Chairman
Saturday 6 October
9.45: ‘The new Code of Professional Conduct for VNs’, by Andrea Jeffery, RCVS VN Council member
And, of course, RCVS staff will be on the stand throughout congress to answer any questions visitors may have about CPD, the new Code of Professional Conduct, the disciplinary system, VN training, or any other issue.
