Prospective veterinary students - don't forget the BMAT

6 September 2004

In a press release issued today, the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) has reminded those students who are thinking of applying to study veterinary medicine next year to register for the BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT).

The deadline for BMAT registrations is Thursday 30 September 2004.

BMAT is used by the universities of Cambridge, Bristol and the Royal Veterinary College as a method for establishing the thinking skills of students to help them choose between many high calibre candidates and match the right candidate to the right university.

UCLES warned that, "Students who don't take the BMAT won't receive an admissions interview."

UCLES also advised prospective veterinary students to talk to their school or college's examination officer and visit the BMAT website to find out how to register.
