RCVS holding interactive webinar setting out new guidance on under care
9 June 2023
On 15 June 2023 we will be holding an interactive webinar to set out the new guidance on under care and remote prescribing which will come into effect this autumn.
Please note: Tickets for the live webinar are currently sold out, but those who are not able to attend live can still register to receive a recording via the webinar's Eventbrite page. Due to the live webinar being sold out, we would like those that are interested in attending a future live session on under care to register for the waiting list option. We will notify you as soon as a future date and time has been confirmed.
The hour-long, free session will be chaired by our President Dr Melissa Donald MRCVS, with panellists Linda Belton MRCVS, Chair of our Standards Committee; Eleanor Ferguson, our Registrar and Director of Legal Services; and Gemma Kingswell, our Head of Standards.
Linda (pictured), a vet working in practice in Wiltshire, said: “The webinar is an opportunity to put the guidance changes into a practice context and in relation to the different species. We will be discussing what we need to provide for animals taken under our care, the situations where a physical examination is required and all the considerations we need to take into account at the time of prescribing.
““Crucially, members of the veterinary team will also have the opportunity to ask us questions so we can help allay any concerns or misconceptions they may have about the guidance and its implications.”
Questions can be submitted in advance as well as live during the session itself. Any questions that cannot be answered during the event will be followed up later in writing.
Those with any questions about the under care and remote prescribing guidance should contact our Standards & Advice Team on [email protected]
