RCVS Officers to answer questions in Kidderminster

24 February 2009

The RCVS Officer team will be heading to Worcestershire on Thursday 26 March, for the next RCVS Question Time meeting.

Regional Question Time meetings are an ideal opportunity for local veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses, practice managers and others involved in the profession to put their questions to the panel, made up of the Officers and members of Veterinary Nurses Council, and all are welcome to attend.

RCVS President Mrs Jill Nute, who began her career in mixed practice in Worcestershire, will be chairing the meeting, which will be held in the Manor Suite at the Stone Manor Hotel, near Kidderminster.

The evening will begin at 6.30pm with a buffet dinner and an opportunity for guests to relax and catch up with colleagues, and the debate will start at 7.15pm.

Questions are welcome on any veterinary topic, and are expected to include veterinary legislation, VN regulation and the Practice Premises Register, and we hope to get a lively debate going. The meeting will finish at approximately 10pm.

All veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses in the local area will receive a personal invitation to the meeting. For further information please contact the Events team on (020) 7202 0773.

While in Kidderminster, the RCVS will be holding a Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) ‘surgery’, between 11am – 5pm at the Stone Manor Hotel.

For practices who are thinking of joining the Scheme, need some help with an upcoming inspection, or simply want a one-to-one chat with an inspector, free 45-minute appointments will be available with Jill Nute or a PSS Inspector, to answer your questions.

To book an appointment, please contact Fiona Harcourt via the details above.
