RCVS platforms to be unavailable on two mornings in September 2023

Due to updates being made to our IT systems next month, there will be some disruption to some of our platforms on two days in September 2023.

The updates will take place on Tuesday 5 September and Thursday 14 September and will affect the following platforms:

• the Practice Standards Scheme’s Stanley system;
• the RCVS My Account area;
• the 1CPD learning and development recording platform;
• the Veterinary Graduate Development Programme (VetGDP); and,
• the RCVS Academy.

The planned updates will start at 7am on both days and are expected to take up to 4 hours.

Our website, as well as telephone and email systems, will not be affected by the updates.

Darren Tysoe, our Chief Digital Officer, said: “We are modernising how we manage our cloud-based systems and cloud-based storage to provide improved resilience and greater capacity to meet our future needs.  

"These two periods of potential disruption will give us time to move our systems to a new managed service and carry out necessary checks and tests. Thank you for your understanding.”
