RCVS sends out fifth survey to gauge impact of pandemic on veterinary practice
27 November 2020
The RCVS has sent out the fifth of its regular survey with veterinary practices which aim to gauge the business and financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic and its associated restrictions across the whole of the UK.
As with previous iterations of the survey in April, May, June and September, the survey will ask a set of questions on the impact of coronavirus on businesses and staff. However, this survey has additional questions around the provision of Extra-Mural Studies (EMS) and Intra-Mural Rotations (IMR) placements for veterinary students, plus an opportunity to suggest what would be useful to support the mental health and wellbeing of the veterinary team during the ongoing pandemic.
The important feedback provided by veterinary practices will continue to inform RCVS policy decisions and, where appropriate, communications with government and other stakeholders. As previously, the RCVS may share the survey results with other bodies, including government, but rest assured that any data gathered will remain anonymous.
As these surveys are intended to provide regular snapshots, they are only open for a few days. This survey will therefore close at 5pm on Tuesday 1 December 2020. The College will then publish the fifth set of findings as soon as possible thereafter.
If your veterinary practice has not received a copy of the survey via email then please contact RCVS staff member Sophie Rogers on [email protected] as soon as possible.
